SECOND THURSDAY ~ MAY 9th ~ Jesikah Orman ~ Art Opening
Join us for SECOND THURSDAYS 1 year anniversary on May 9th, 6-9pm! This SECOND THURSDAY we are featuring the latest multimedia work of printmaker Jesikah Orman. SECOND THURSDAYS = look at some art, meet the current featured artist and shop home goods!
“I am interested in how our memory navigates the spaces we have occupied, and how communities might address peoples, places, and objects that have been abandoned, displaced, and/or forgotten.
I use the landscape as a symbol in my work to explore the great vastness it implies—the Great Unknown: that which exists within the strange wilderness of our minds, and that which encompasses the fragile physicality of our experience wandering the surface of the earth.”

Covet will be featuring a different artist every month with the opening falling on the SECOND THURSDAY of the month! SECOND THURSDAYS = look at some art, meet the current featured artist and shop home goods! This month’s featured artist is ALEX POEPPING.
This exhibit is a collection of Alex’s most recent work exploring the concept of esotericism. This collection combines scientific, spiritual, occult and nostalgic ideas to create esoteric imagery that the viewer will wish they were in on.
Join us this SECOND THURSDAY to meet the artist, view her latest linocuts, enjoy some refreshments and do a little shopping!
We are pleased that this SECOND THURSDAY our neighbors at the Blue Ox Coffee Shop will be having live music and our neighbors Joyface Arts Collective located in the Fox Egg Gallery will also be open! Should be a great night!

| Every SECOND THURSDAY of the month Covet hosts an art opening. This month we’re also kicking off our SALE to coincide with the opening, 5-9pm! 20-50% off home consignment! SALE ends Sunday Oct. 14th.Thursday October 11th Covet will be featuring the acrylic paintings of local artist JENNIFER SANDQUIST. This show titled, “Vintage Roadtrip,” will focus on roadside americana imagery.
“I paint because it is both my connection to and escape from the world around me. I find beauty and mystery on the faces of people everywhere. In my portraits I hope to hold on to those moments that are fleeting. A smile, a sly glance or the crash of a breaking heart. I work quickly and finish my paintings all in one sitting… making acrylics a very helpful tool. The fast-drying qualities of acrylic paint make it possible to convey the excitement I feel while creating. I am self-taught and my current body of work is the culmination of years in the studio, learning through playing. I feel that my bold and simple colors and lines are an honest vehicle of delivery for the core of my work – human emotion. I paint nearly every day… because it makes me happy.” ~ Jennifer Sandquist
